There is just one week until the brand new Garden Tisno site hosts the opening of two events of the season from July 4th to July 16th. This summer, Garden Festival and Electric Elephant are offering a unique Double Whammy package. With both festivals taking place concurrently, for anyone looking to up their dosage of sun-kissed partying on the sizzling Adriatic coastline there is now twice as much action to partake in.
Derrick Carter has also just been announced, playing in the brand new Barbarellas Discotheque, to hand over from The Garden Festival into Electric Elephant on 11th July. Derrick’s sets are rooted in house, but he freely travels outside conformative club tastes, seamlessly incorporating old-school disco, soul, jazz, and whatever else catches his fancy to jack the beat and rock the party. After bringing Electric Elephant to a close in 2011 with an almighty Disco Bang, his perfromance is one to look forward to.
The brand new Barbarellas is one of the most exciting new elements of The Garden Tisno. For those with fond memories of partying in the old Petrcane venue, this offers something totally different. The new club is located completely outside, so ravers can dance the night away under the stars until dawn. There’s Funktion One soundsystem, two large bars and the capcity is now an impressive 1,500. As well as coach tranfers, it’s just a short taxi ride away from the main festival site and is accessible by water taxi too.
