For their 10th anniversary Lovebox returns to Victoria Park on the 15th – 17th of June for fun, frolics and a celebration of music. With 12 stages, the carnival set over 40 acres is set to take over East London with both contemporary and fresh, future sounds. With a range of headliners the weekend branches out to every Londoner and their music tastes. Opening and setting the stage for the weekend with Bang the Box: Hot chip, Crystal Castles, Magnetic Man and Sub Focus. With brands such as Rinse Fm 106.8fm, Digital Sound Boy and the NYC Downlow stage, Friday is set to be a dub, drum & bass, future garage wet dream. With the likes of Skream, Plastican and P Money smashing the Rinse tent, the Hessle Audio trio Ben UFO, Pearson Sound & Pangaea will be showcasing new sounds and fresh flavours.
Saturday welcomes Friendly Fires, Emeli Sande, Kelis and Little Dragon. Needing no introduction each headliner will ensure you are thoroughly enjoying yourself whether your drunkenly shouting the lyrics to ‘Live Those Days Tonight’ or grinding around to Kelis’s ‘Bossy’ Club brands and labels such as Hospitality, Crosstown Rebels and Warm & Electric Minds brings you the sounds of Balearic deep house, NYC disco and Berlins finest techno. With sets from Prosumer, Rebel Rave, Netsky, Dixon and London Elektricity it’s going to be hard to ‘not’ have fun.
Lastly Sunday brings you a collaboration of old and new artists to finish the weekend in sheer style. With Lana Del Rey, Azari & III, The Rapture and Chic, Lovebox thought it was only right to leave us wanting more, so by asking Grace Jones to close the festival I think its fair to say we’re a wee bit excited. With a host of club brands and names finishing us all off Mika, Horse Meat Disco, Tiga and Felix Da Housecat to name a few, Lovebox will literally be blowing us away with acts, tents and showcases. Not forgetting if you are a ‘cultured’ one Lovebox will also be bringing you fashion, arts and crafts all weekend and the Dalston Superstore Live on Sunday.
